Storied: The Roosevelt Chapter is a First Friday experience celebrating the people, homes and stories that shaped Roosevelt. Beginning at the six Residences on 2nd homes, neighbors will receive a Storied library card and explore historic photographs, personal stories and work from local artists.

Nancy and the What’s Your Story Mobile Bookstore will be there, with additional Roosevelt story stops to be announced.

How the evening works

A walk through the neighborhood.

  1. i.
    Start on 2nd Avenue. Begin at the six Residences on 2nd homes and pick up your Storied library card.
  2. ii.
    Read the neighborhood. Historic photographs and personal stories from the people who have lived here, placed where they happened.
  3. iii.
    See the work. Pieces from local artists, on a night when the whole district is already out.
  4. iv.
    Find Nancy. The What’s Your Story Mobile Bookstore will be parked nearby. Browse the shelves, take something home.
  5. v.
    Keep walking. Additional Roosevelt story stops are being announced between now and October 2.
Where it begins

Six homes on 2nd Avenue.

Residences on 2nd is a six-home infill project in the Roosevelt Historic District. Each home is named for the kind of work that has always happened in this neighborhood.
