Behind every door is a story.
Storied is a series. Each chapter visits a new Phoenix neighborhood and turns its open houses into something more like a walking tour — addresses as chapters, visitors as readers. Chapter 1 begins in Historic Coronado.
I'm still smiling when I think about Chapter One.
When I first imagined Storied, I hoped a handful of people might show up to explore the homes, read the stories, and spend a Saturday morning connecting with the neighborhood. The response was so much bigger than I anticipated.
Throughout the morning, neighbors arrived on foot, by bike, with dogs in tow. Some came because they love historic homes. Others came to learn more about Coronado's history. Many came simply because they were curious. What struck me most was how long people stayed — reading the stories, talking with neighbors, exploring the homes, browsing books and chatting with Nancy from What's Your Story? Mobile Bookstore.
The turnout was wonderful, but what meant the most was seeing people connect. It reminded me that people are still hungry for community, conversation, and a slower way to learn about the places they call home.
I couldn't have done this without the homeowners who generously shared their stories and opened their doors, or the agents who jumped in to bring it to life. Their support made all the difference.
A few things I learned: two hours wasn't enough. So many people wanted more time — to explore the homes, read the stories, visit the bookstore, connect with each other. Next time, I'll likely make Storied a three-hour event.
As for what's next — I'm honestly not sure yet. Should I move on to Chapter Two? Or should I bring Chapter One back for an encore so more people can experience it? I'd love to hear what you think.
Thank you to everyone who came and helped make the first Storied event such a memorable morning.
This was Chapter One. I can't wait to see where the story goes next.

Today. Was. Amazing.

Storied wouldn't be possible without the people lending their stories, their homes, their books, and their belief in slow, real community.

Storied is a series, not a one-time event. New chapters will roll out across Phoenix neighborhoods — historic and modern, downtown and edges, every kind of door.
Storied came from my background in storytelling, and a belief that homes are about so much more than square footage or market stats. The real estate world has a way of reducing where we live to numbers. My goal with Storied is to bring people back to the human side of where we live, because that's where the actual story is.
Storied is a celebration of community, connection, and the power of paying attention to your neighborhood. One story at a time.
